NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Ryan Woods scored 15 points and Isaiah Wilkerson tallied a double-double to lead New Jersey Institute of Technology in a 58-50 win over Chicago State on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Wilkerson had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Highlanders (13-16, 5-5 Great West Conference), who closed the season by winning two straight games for the first time since January.

The Cougars had a 15-9 lead with 6:47 left to play before halftime, but Woods hit consecutive 3-pointers to help fuel a 12-0 NJIT run the rest of the frame. The Highlanders were up five points at the break and outscored the Cougars 37-35 in the second half to seal it.

Chicago State outshot NJIT 40.4 percent (19 of 47) to 27.7 percent (18 of 65), but the Highlanders outrebounded the Cougars 43-36.

Matt Samuels had 16 points for the Cougars (4-26, 2-8).
