WHITE SWAN, Wash. (AP) — A brush fire fanned by strong winds has destroyed one home near the small, unincorporated town of White Swan on the Yakama Indian Reservation.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://bit.ly/wVx1Eh ) that firefighters contained the 120-acre fire Monday afternoon. A high wind advisory was in effect Monday for much of central Washington’s Yakima Valley.
The blaze came one year after another brush fire, also pushed by high winds, destroyed 14 homes in the same town.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
