MILWAUKIE, Ore. (AP) — Neighbors tried but couldn’t rescue a man from a fire Sunday at the home where he had lived nearly 70 years.
Clackamas Fire District 1 says firefighters weren’t able to find the man right away. He was eventually found dead of smoke inhalation
Investigators said Monday the fire was accidental and caused by a wood stove.
