MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic is feeling better after missing the last game because of a right foot injury.

Coach Rick Adelman said Tuesday the 6-foot-11, 290-pound Pekovic wasn’t as sore as he was the day before. Pekovic was on the floor with the team for a light practice. He’ll be re-evaluated before Wednesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Darko Milicic returned to the starting lineup Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers and scored 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting, pulled down four rebounds and blocked a shot in 28 minutes. Pekovic replaced him earlier this season and has emerged as a productive, intimidating player for the improving Timberwolves.
