MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A former city councilman in Talent, Ore., who was accused of attempting to take nude photographs of a teenage girl has entered a modified guilty plea to a charge of coercion.

KDRV reports (http://is.gd/NxNeAE ) that Dan Goyette entered his Alford plea on Thursday. He was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and 120 hours of community service. In an Alford plea, a defendant does not admit guilt but concedes there is enough evidence a jury would likely convict him.

Police allege Goyette tried to take nude photographs last August of a girl who was 17 at the time. He apologized to the family in court.

Judge Lorenzo Mejia said Goyette’s action was a huge violation of trust and added, “I think creepy just about sums it up.”
