3 Broncos suspended for violating NFL drug policy

NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL has suspended linebacker D.J. Williams, defensive tackle Ryan McBean and tight end Virgil Green of the Denver Broncos for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

The league announced the suspensions on Friday.

McBean and Williams are suspended for Denver’s first six games of the 2012 season. Green is suspended for the team’s first four games. All three are suspended without pay.

The players are eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.
