LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers have signed forward Bobby Simmons to a second 10-day contract.

Simmons has averaged 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in six games for the team while shooting 44 percent from 3-point range. He signed his first 10-day deal on Feb. 27.

Simmons had been playing in the D-League, where he averaged 13.5 points and 7.6 rebounds for the Reno Bighorns.

The nine-year NBA veteran is in his second stint with the Clippers, having last played for them in 2003-04 and 2004-05. Simmons earned the NBA’s most improved player award in 2004, when he averaged career highs in points, rebounds and assists for the team.
