ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Orlando Johnson scored 20 points and James Nunnally 13 to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 64-52 victory against Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo in the semifinals of the Big West tournament on Friday night.

Jaime Serna added 10 points for the third-seeded Gauchos (20-9), who play top seed Long Beach State in Saturday’s title game.

David Hanson had 19 points and Amaurys Fermin 13 for the fourth-seeded Mustangs (18-15), who went the entire season without a player scoring 20 points in a game.

UC Santa Barbara outscored Cal Poly 18-5 in the last 7:37 en route to its fifth straight victory in the series.

Johnson’s 3-pointer gave the Gauchos a 58-49 lead with 1:30 remaining. Fermin responded with a shot from behind the arc, but after the Mustangs missed on their next trip, they were forced to foul. UC Santa Barbara went 6 for 6 from the line in the last 34 seconds.
