The Clark College baseball team improved to 4-2 on the season with a split of games against Columbia Basin on Saturday at Pasco.
The Penguins fell in the opener 10-3 and won the nightcap 8-2.
Clark was held to two hits in the loss, but kept the game close until Columbia Basin broke it open with a four-run fifth.
Clark scored two in the second on a throwing error for a 2-1 lead. Columbia Basin scored twice in its half to take the lead for good.
In the second game, Clark scored six runs in the fifth to pull away after Columbia Basin had scored once in the second and third innings.
