LAS VEGAS (AP) — Dodge unveiled its 2013 Sprint Cup car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.
Next up is finding someone to drive it.
Dodge, which recently rebranded itself to SRT Brand and Motorsports, was surprised Thursday when Penske Racing announced it was switching to Ford next season.
Penske was the only major team in Dodge’s stable, leaving the company scrambling to find a replacement.
Ralph Gilles, president and CEO of SRT Brand and Motorsports, said Dodge is hoping to have a team lined up by mid-summer and that there have already been several inquiries.
Penske and Robby Gordon currently compete in Dodge.
