EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A proposal to build a student housing project in Eugene has concerned neighbors who worry about noise and safety.

KEZI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/znSmpb ) the building by Capstone Companies would be home to 1,200 students.

Neighborhood group chair Paul Conte says he wants to make sure the neighborhood has all the information on the project and a say on the building’s construction.

Two public forums have been scheduled. Neighbors also say they worry about parking issues in the area if the building is constructed.
