Vikings sign backup QB Rosenfels

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Quarterback Sage Rosenfels has re-signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Rosenfels spent the last five games of 2011 with the Vikings in the same backup role he held in 2009. He played for the New York Giants in 2010.

The 34-year-old Rosenfels also has played for Miami and Houston during 12 years in the league.
