Police respond to suspicious death in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police are investigating a suspicious death in northwest Portland’s Pearl District.

Sgt. Pete Simpson says police were called to a high-rise about 3 a.m. Friday on a report of a disturbance in an apartment. They found a man dead inside.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/ayGgj6 ) homicide detectives are asking neighbors in the building if they heard anything.
