Shalom Chapter of Hadassah presents one-woman show, “An Afternoon With Golda Meir,” 2 p.m., Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave. The event includes a dessert reception and raffle. The show tells the history of a person, a people and a nation through the eyes and words of Golda Meir, as portrayed by Joan Wolfberg. The show weaves a tapestry of drama and history into an educational, entertaining and inspirational tale. Cost is $36 for preferred seating, $18 adults, $10 students. * 360-727-3387. will be portrayed noon to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9728 N.E. 50th Ave. The church hall will be transformed into the Land of Israel, with 13 separate backdrops/vignettes depicting scenes from the New Testament story of the life of Jesus Christ. During the event regional choir and a children’s choir will perform. Live actors will perform at 7:15 p.m. Friday and at 3, 4:30 and 6:45 p.m. Saturday, March 24.
