LONDON (AP) — Tim Cahill scored in the first half Saturday, sending Everton to an FA Cup replay against Sunderland after the Premier League teams drew 1-1 in the quarterfinals.

Phil Bardsley opened the scoring for Sunderland in the 12th minute at Goodison Park with a long shot, but Cahill tied it 11 minutes later. Nikica Jelavic’s header from Leighton Baines’ cross was going wide, but Cahill nodded the ball past goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Everton was denied as it went for the go-ahead goal, with Mignolet denying John Heitinga and Jelavic.

Tottenham hosts Bolton in a later FA Cup game. In two Premier League games, it’s Fulham vs. Swansea and Wigan vs. West Bromwich Albion.
