DALLAS (AP) — Dallas Mavericks starting center Brendan Haywood is out again.

Haywood is expected to miss at least five games with a sprained right knee, which he sustained midway through the third quarter Thursday night against Charlotte.

The Mavericks on Friday recalled forward Sean Williams from the Texas Legends of the NBA D-League.

Coach Rick Carlisle said Haywood’s injury isn’t considered serious, but needs some time to heal. Haywood played in just two games after returning from a sprained left ankle that forced him out of four games.

The 6-foot-10 Williams has averaged 4.1 points in his seven games for Dallas this season. When Haywood had returned Tuesday, Williams was reassigned to the Legends, where he has averaged 14.7 points and 8.5 rebounds games this season.
