If you believe excepts from the upcoming book by Tiger Woods’ former swing coach, there may be more reason to like Elin Nordegren.
Hank Haney’s book “The Big Miss” is due out later this month and included one story about when Tiger told Elin to keep her emotions in check during his tournament.
Just three months after the pair were married, Woods picked up his first stroke-play win in 16 months with a win at Torrey Pines.
Elin wanted to throw a party, noting that during her days as Jesper Parnevik’s nanny, a victory would prompt the family to throw a party.
According to the book, Woods responded: “E, that’s not what we do. I’m not Jesper. We’re supposed to win.”
Now that they’re divorced, if Elin wants to throw a party every time Tigers loses, we’d gladly join the festivities.

It was all about singles, strikeouts and shaved heads for the Wake Forest and North Carolina State baseball teams.
After the Wolfpack topped the Demon Deacons 6-2 on Saturday, over 84 fans, players and coaches from both teams had their heads shaved on the field as part of “BaseBald” — a fundraising effort that raised more than $42,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and its work against childhood cancer.
Well done.
