LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The International Volleyball Federation says three candidates will run for president of the organization:

They are Doug Beal of the U.S, Chris Schacht of Australia and Ary Graca of Brazil. Each is president of his national federation. The vote is Sept. 19-21 in Anaheim, Calif.

The current president is Wei Jizhong, who is fulfilling his promise to step aside after a single four-year term. He wants to modernize the governing body after the 24-year presidency of Mexico’s Ruben Acosta. Acosta followed Paul Libaud, the Frenchman who led the federation from its founding in 1947.
