Letter: Republicans make major messes

The Columbian
Published: March 18, 2012, 5:00pm

During our election year, I have watched and listened to both sides. I don’t understand how Republicans live with themselves. They lie about Obama on jobs, on oil, the economy, and on foreign affairs.

The Bush administration got America into a big mess with lies and big breaks for the rich, and it took Obama’s big shovel to try and dig us out of a hole.

As far as women’s rights, Republicans took a big stick and hit the hornet’s nest, and it will come back and sting them in the end. It’s like watching Pinocchio because their noses start to grow and then they turn into a donkey. They also have a talk show person, Rush Limbaugh, displaying his lack of respect for women’s feelings.

As far as “Drill Baby Drill,” they must have drilled out their own common sense.
