TUKWILA, Wash. (AP) — Police in Tukwila are investigating the weekend stabbing death of a 17-year-old girl.

Tukwila Police Sgt. Mark Dunlap said the incident began just before 3 a.m. Saturday when officers responded to a report of an injured, unconscious girl. When they arrived at an apartment, they found the 17-year-old victim, unconscious and bleeding from stab wounds.

She was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police took a 17-year-old boy into custody at a nearby park shortly after responding to the stabbing. Dunlap said no motive for the stabbing has been discovered.
