Police are searching parts of east Vancouver for a suspect in an alleged robbery that happened in a bank on Southeast 164th Avenue.

Vancouver police responded to the Bank of America at 1145 S.E. 164th Ave. just before 11 a.m. after a woman called to report she saw someone running out of the bank, said Kim Kapp, Vancouver police spokeswoman. The caller thought the person may have robbed the bank.

Police arrived and learned someone stole a deposit bag from a customer in the lobby.

No weapons were used, Kapp said.

Police are searching the area for the suspect or anyone who may have seen the suspect.
