PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) — Colorado Rockies catcher Ramon Hernandez has left a spring training game against San Diego after he was hit near his left knee with a pitch.
Hernandez, who signed a two-year deal worth $6.4 million with Colorado on Nov. 30, was batting in the second inning against Padres rookie Joe Wieland.
Hernandez hit .282 with 12 homers and 36 RBIs in 91 games for the Cincinnati Reds last season.
