SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police are testing six different vehicles as the new patrol car to replace the Crown Victoria model that Ford is retiring.

About 160 officers are testing the new vehicles and will have a say in which one is selected.

The test cars are the Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, Chevrolet Caprice, Chevy Impala, Ford Interceptor sedan, Ford Interceptor SUV, and Dodge Charger.

Police say a patrol car is their mobile office but it also has to haul equipment and handle well in emergencies.
