Washington County woman burned in cat rescue

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Washington County woman was seriously burned when she re-entered her burning apartment in an attempt to rescue her cat.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue says firefighters found the woman Wednesday night semi-conscious on the floor.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/O1eiHH ) she was taken to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center.

The cat was not found.
