A Battle Ground woman was injured Friday afternoon in a three-car crash north of Vancouver, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Rachel M. Salter, 32, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with back and neck injuries. Salter was in satisfactory condition later Friday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 1 p.m., as Salter was driving her Chrysler Town & Country minivan on state Highway 503 near Northeast 119th Street.

Salter’s car hit a Ford pickup driven by Louis Lipka, 26, of Yacolt, which was stopped at a traffic light, according to a state patrol news bulletin, and pushed the pickup into a third vehicle driven by Denise Vongsaravanhlao, 26, of Vancouver.

Vongsaravanhlao’s passenger, Tinh Tran, 24, of Vancouver was booked in jail on a misdemeanor warrant.

Lipka, Vongsaravanhlao and Tran were not injured.

The state patrol said Salter’s negligent driving caused the crash.
