A beach cleanup at Washougal’s Captain William Clark Park will be among this year’s local Earth Day events.

The Port of Camas-Washougal announced this week that it will invite volunteers to a levee and beach cleanup along the Columbia River for the third consecutive year. The event will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 20.

Volunteers should meet by the restrooms near Recognition Plaza at the park. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing and walking shoes. Garbage bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided, the port said.
