JUPITER, Fla. (AP) — Injured right-hander Chris Young is staying with the New York Mets.

Young, still recovering from shoulder surgery in May, agreed Monday to a minor league contract.

The 32-year-old was 1-0 with a 1.88 ERA in four games before surgery to repair a torn anterior capsule in his throwing shoulder — the same procedure that caused Johan Santana to miss the 2011 season.
