Man charged with murder in Ore. student’s death

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A 20-year-old man has been indicted in the May 2011 death of a Woodburn, Ore., High School student fatally shot outside his home as his two brothers stood beside him.

The Statesman Journal reports (http://is.gd/0lfzYT) that Javier Ivan Sanchez-Perez was indicted Monday in the death of 19-year-old Tomas Montes-Sanchez.

Sanchez-Perez was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and related counts. He was arraigned Monday in Salem.

Arrested last Friday, Sanchez-Perez is being held without bail in the Marion County Jail.
