NORTH BEND, Ore. (AP) — The Coos County sheriff’s office says a 20-foot log rolling down a hill struck a 74-year-old man and killed him near North Bend, Ore.
The World newspaper reports (http://is.gd/x3EVZ9) that Kenneth Earley was killed Tuesday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office says Earley was clearing brush with members of a local church when the log rolled down a nearby hill.
He was taken to Bay Area Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
