Siltronic laying off 350 from Portland factory

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Siltronic says it will lay off 350 employees this summer from a Portland factory that makes semiconductor wafers.

KGW reports (http://is.gd/mA3yfl) a notice was sent last week to the Oregon Dislocated Worker Unit.

Most of the jobs being cut are production operator positions.
