PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say a teenager detained in a stabbing investigation has been charged with killing his father and wounding his mother.

The suspect was identified Wednesday as 18-year-old Jacob James Simon. Police say he’s accused of murder, assault and weapons charges.

Police say his father, 61-year-old Peter Anton Simon, was found dead Tuesday night at a mobile home neighborhood in northeast Portland.

His mother, 58-year-old Sheryl Lynn Simon, was treated at a hospital and released.

Police said the teenager is to be arraigned Thursday. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is expected Thursday.
