A state committee this spring will consider advancing a set of name changes to Washington geographic features, including one in Clark County.

The Washington State Committee on Geographic Names is seeking comment on 10 proposals across the state. One would make official the name “Mill Pond,” for the small pond next to Lacamas Lake and Round Lake in Camas.

The naming committee will meet May 18 in Olympia. Comments are due by 5 p.m. on May 17. Feedback can be sent by mail to the Washington State Committee on Geographic Names at P.O. Box 47030, Olympia, WA 98504, or by email to bogn@dnr.wa.gov.

The full list of naming proposals is posted at Department of Natural Resources under “News.”
