Sarah Nidick, Camas softball
Camas senior Sarah Nidick has been voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for March 19-24 by a vote of fans on Facebook.
Nidick collected 64.5 percent of the 766 votes cast this week to outdistance Union baseball player Tre Christensen, who finished with 22.5 percent.
Nidick went 4 for 7 with a double, two runs scored and 10 RBI in two games last week. She also allowed one run in four innings pitched.
Other candidates included Skyview boys soccer player Cole Howard, Heritage boys track and field athlete Sean Keller and Prairie girls track and field athlete Johna McEllrath.
