SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The mother of a 17-year-old Salem girl has pleaded not guilty to child abuse charges after police say video surveillance showed her inside a strip club, watching her daughter dance and providing her money.
Christina Marie Lopez, the 42-year-old mother of the girl, complained to police in mid-December of her daughter’s dancing at Presley’s Playhouse Cabaret in Salem.
The Salem Police Department says Lopez also complained to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission and local media outlets.
The Salem Statesman Journal reports (http://stjr.nl/HFYpTZ ) Lopez on Friday pleaded not guilty to the felony charge of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct.
