OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Maybe someday you’ll take a drive on the Boeing Bridge. Or the Starbucks Expressway.

Washington state Rep. Jan Angel says she exploring whether the state should start sell naming rights to raise revenue for transportation projects. The Republican from Port Orchard says she particularly wants to see alternatives that could keep toll fares low on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Angel says she’s now researching how much money the naming rights might raise for the state.

Washington lawmakers are currently examining how to deal with looming transportation needs across the state. A task force convened by Gov. Chris Gregoire determined that Washington needs up to $21 billion in transportation spending over the next 10 years.
