SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday for a long-sought new wing command headquarters building at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane.

The $13.6 building will be home to the command staff of both the 92nd Air Refueling Wing and the Washington Air National Guard 141st Air Refueling Wing.

It will replace a nearly 70-year-old headquarters building.

Jackson Contractor Group of Missoula, Mont., will construct the building.
