POULSBO, Wash. (AP) — The North Kitsap School District says a school bus driver should have walked through the bus before parking it Wednesday morning and should have found a 3-year-old girl who didn’t get off at her preschool.

The girl wasn’t found for 30 or 40 minutes when another driver started preparing the bus for another run.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://is.gd/ojXtuT) the first driver is on administrative leave for an investigation.

The girls’ parents say it will be some time before they put her on a school bus again.
