PRAGUE (AP) — Alois Hadamczik has agreed to a contract extension as coach of the Czech Republic’s national hockey team until June 2015.

The executive committee of the Czech federation approved the decision Wednesday.

Hadamczik returned as coach in 2010 with a two-year deal. He previously coached the team for two years from 2005, winning the bronze medal at the 2006 Turin Olympics.

The new deal means Hadamczik will lead the Czechs at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and the 2015 world championships in Prague.

Last year, he coached the Czechs to the bronze at the worlds in Slovakia.
