Oakridge man reported killed in campground fight

OAKRIDGE, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say an autopsy shows an Oakridge man died of “homicidal violence” during a fight between two men drinking at a camping area.

Law enforcement officer say they investigated a report of an assault Tuesday night involving two people fishing.

The Eugene Register-Guard reported (http://bit.ly/IpEmv5 ) the victim was identified as 46-year-old Alan Eric Platt.

An acquaintance, 33-year-old Aaron Earl Curry, was booked on a manslaughter charge.
