EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Eric Hassli and Omar Salgado scored to help the Vancouver Whitecaps beat FC Edmonton 2-0 on Wednesday night in the first leg of the Canadian Championship semifinal.
The second game is next Wednesday in Vancouver.
The series winner will face the Toronto-Montreal winner.
