SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A 55-year-old Spokane woman who was walking her dog was stabbed to death Thursday morning in what police say was a rare case of stranger violence.
The woman was on a walking trail shortly after 8 a.m. when a man with a knife jumped out of the bushes, stabbed her several times and fled.
A construction worker heard her cries and administered first aid.
Witnesses told police that the suspect was a black male, wearing a black hoodie and black pants, and in his early to mid 30’s.
Police have no motive and said they believe this was a random attack.
