25 arrested in Tri-City area gang operation

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — The Kennewick police department says that 25 people were arrested this week as part of an operation targeting gangs.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://bit.ly/ITdvvP) Friday that the sweep took just a day to put together and involved more than 25 officers.

Of the 25 people arrested, 20 had felony warrants and 14 had misdemeanor warrants.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers also made two arrests and five juveniles were taken into custody as well.
