VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A woman who sold the heroin that killed a Vancouver man was sentenced Thursday to more than five years in prison.
Brittany Sonnen of Vancouver had pleaded guilty to controlled-substance homicide in the overdose death last August of 24-year-old Adam Hurd.
Sonnen’s boyfriend and co-defendant, Jerome Otto, was convicted Tuesday of controlled substance homicide and will be sentenced May 29 in Clark County Superior Court.
The Columbian reports (http://is.gd/xRwamS ) jurors returned a special finding that Otto showed an egregious lack of remorse. That gives the judge the option of imposing an exceptional sentence.
