SAN DIEGO (AP) — The San Diego Padres have recalled right-hander Brad Brach from Triple-A Tucson.
Friday’s move came after the Padres traded right-handed reliever Ernesto Frieri to the Los Angeles Angels a day earlier in exchange for infielder Alexi Amarista and right-hander Donn Roach. San Diego assigned Amarista to Tucson and Roach to Single-A Lake Elsinore.
This is the second time Brach has been called up to the majors this season. In five appearances with the Padres, he is 0-1 with a 5.06 ERA.
