EVERSON, Wash. (AP) — A woman and a girl were killed in a head-on crash with a dump truck Friday morning near Everson.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Brandon Lee told The Bellingham Herald (http://is.gd/jKehlt ) the woman was driving a car that crossed the centerline and slammed into the oncoming truck. Two children in her car appeared to be under 10 years old. The girl died, and a boy was taken to a Bellingham hospital.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The truck was from Growsource, a topsoil and gardening company with nurseries in Everson, Lynden and Bellingham.
