Celtics’ Pierce limps off with sore left knee

BOSTON (AP) — Paul Pierce returned for the start of the second half after he limped off the court with a sore left knee during the second quarter of the Boston Celtics’ playoff game against Atlanta.

The forward had 18 points in 14 minutes in the first half as the Celtics opened a 64-41 halftime lead on Sunday night. He left with about 6 minutes left in the second quarter.

The Celtics lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
