Castrillon, Rivero lift Rapids past FC Dallas

FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Jaime Castrillon and Martin Rivero scored in a 13-minute span in the second half to help the Colorado Rapids beat FC Dallas 2-0 on Sunday night.

Castrillon scored his third goal of the season in the 61st minute, and Rivero added his first in the 74th. Brian Mullan assisted on both goals.

Colorado improved to 5-5-0, and Dallas dropped to 3-4-3.

Dallas’ Daniel Hernandez and Blas Perez were given red cards in the first half. Herdnandez was ejected in the 34th minute, and Perez in the 36th.
