INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — My Selection beat 13-10 favorite Magical Band by three-quarters of a length Friday night in the $55,944 feature at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Rafael Bejarano rode the winner, one of his three victories on the card. His other wins came in the second and sixth races.

My Selection ran six furlongs on the synthetic Cushion Track in 1:10.73 and paid $7.80, $3.60 and $2.40 for trainer Bob Baffert.

Magical Band returned $3.20 and $2.40, while Heleonor Rugby was another 1 3-4 lengths back in third and paid $2.60 to show.

The victory was My Selection’s second in three starts and increased the 3-year-old filly’s career earnings to $69,480.

Kentucky Derby-winning jockey Mario Gutierrez won with his first mount since riding I’ll Have Another to victory last Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Gutierrez led all the way aboard Blake to win by 2 1/2 lengths in the first race.

“I was very happy to be back riding here,” he said before being blanked with his other two mounts on the card.

Gutierrez has two mounts on Saturday, then will spend Sunday visiting friends at Hastings Park in Vancouver, Canada, where he rode for six years before moving to California. He will leave for Baltimore on Tuesday to reunite with I’ll Have Another ahead of the Preakness on May 19.
