EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — As the California Baptist University Women’s Choir performed at the Cascade Presbyterian Church in Eugene on Wednesday, thieves took nearly $2,000 from wallets left in unlocked dressing rooms.
The Register-Guard reports (http://is.gd/Zbc1lb ) two Eugene churches took up a collection for the choir and raised $1,200 by Thursday afternoon.
The choir from Riverside, Calif., is on a 15-day West Coast tour.
