PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff’s office says a suburban Portland man has been arrested for investigation of murder in the death of a female roommate.

Sgt. Bob Ray said 34-year-old Paul Joseph Sanelle of Bethany was arrested Friday. He is being held without bail.

On April 29, deputies responded to a call about an unconscious woman at the Oak Hill Apartments. Ray says they found 26-year-old Julianne Herinckx. She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Ray says it appears the woman was a domestic abuse victim who was assaulted over a period of time. He says she lived in the apartment with another woman and Sanelle.
